Presentation

For more than 25 years Antoine Ris has been developing his activities within ichnos sa, which has become ris_chabloz architectes sa and now in a new structure called ris + partenaires architectes sa.

Within the framework of his various studios, Antoine Ris has distinguished himself on several occasions by winning numerous prizes in architecture and urban planning competitions. The award-winning works in the new village of Chêne-Bougeries or in the reconstruction of Beirut's souks are examples of the diversity of his activities. He has also worked locally, nationally and internationally, with projects in Canada, New York and Dubai. He has also carried out numerous feasibility studies and provided project management services, such as the one carried out during the rehabilitation of Uni Dufour with the Japanese artist Tatsuo Myajima.

Today the studio has about thirty architects, with an average age of thirty years. ris + architectes sa has become a real platform composed of professionals. This new framework has enabled employees to continue to make progress, while at the same time gaining greater independence in the way they manage mandates. The staff is made up of both an internal team and external architects who work together on a case-by-case basis. With solid professional experience, they form a versatile team capable of handling a wide range of architectural projects, such as the construction of housing, commercial and public buildings or the study of more complex urban planning issues.

To achieve the qualitative, functional and economic objectives set for it, the studio ris + partenaires architectes sa uses a multidisciplinary approach. All employees are mobilized and participate collectively at key stages of development, from the very beginning. This variety of points of view thus nourishes the project with an unceasingly renewed look and constant criticism that guarantees a result in line with the initial objectives. This approach values teamwork and the synergy of skills throughout the mandates entrusted to it, from the feasibility study on any scale, to the development of the project up to the construction and handover of the buildings.

Philosophy

According to Antoine Ris, the profession of architect must evolve and be able to adapt to the constantly changing world in which we live.

It must be able to integrate the most diverse parameters such as the networking of specific skills, responsiveness and flexibility, in addition to creativity.

Architecture has a direct influence on the quality of the environment, and consequently on the quality of life. Intimately linked to the daily activities, architecture refers to emotion, to the relationship with others and to the relationship with nature.

This is why the studio ris + partenaires architectes sa intends to value each architectural situation, regardless of its scale of intervention, and seeks to transform knowledge and cultures into living spaces, lights and emotions.

The studio ris + partners architects also carries out a global reflection on energy consumption and sustainable development. It strives to ensure that each intervention is ecologically responsible, in the broadest sense of the term.

Thus, through the writing of his projects, he wants to offer his clients architectural qualities that go beyond the strict transcription of a mandate in addition to space. This is why he integrates notions that contribute to the balance between man and his environment such as time, movement, culture and art. In this way, he aims to increase the use value of his achievements and give them an emotional dimension.
